Outside prosecutor sought in DUI case of TV reporter Dave Savini - Chicago Sun-Times

Because a potential conflict of interest, DuPage County prosecutors will ask a judge Wednesday to appoint a special prosecutor in the DUI case of Chicago television reporter Dave Savini. “A member of our supervisory staff is a family relative of Mr. Savini,” said Paul Durrah, a spokesman for the DuPage County State’s Attorney’s office. Bringing in an outside prosecutor to handle the case will avoid any possible conflict, Durrah said.
