Recently, there has been talk that the State of Illinois' driving under the influence laws are unjust and should be changed. As the Pekin Daily Times has reported, even though the crime is called “driving under the influence,” prosecutors do not have to prove that a driver was actually “under the influence” in order to convict someone of DUI.To many people, that probably won't make any sense and will seem to be very unjust. How can we convict someone of doing something without evidence that they've done it?
